If you've traveled between states, you may have noticed the same four-digit game under different names.
One format, many names
Four-digit daily games work the same way almost everywhere: you pick four digits from 0 to 9 and choose a play type such as straight or box. Names vary by state. For example:
- Pick 4 is used in many states
- Daily 4 is used in some states, including California
- Win 4 is the name used in New York
What can differ
- Draw times and how many draws per day
- Prize amounts and add-on features
- Available play types
Check your state lottery's official site for its version's rules and prizes.
